An XML-driven Flash applet that you can embed into most web pages to provide streaming Flash video to your site visitors. Over a dozen configuration options are supported. This is an XML-driven, applet version of the Cinema Video Component for Flash.

This applet includes several advanced controls, including a CC (closed captioning) option, navigation buttons to view the previous/next video, playhead control, volume contol, and button to display more information about the movie.

The XML file to be used by the applet is settable in the HTML, and passed in as a parameter. The default is "config.xml", but you can set this to any filename that you wish.

DTD file is included for XML validation of your XML configuration file.

Video buffering is used during load. Buffer text can be set in the XML configuration file.

The cinema video player interface provides the ability to view closed captioned (CC) text at specific intervals of the movie. The interface also includes a draggable playhead, volume control, and optional JPG logo.

Videos are buffered during load, to provide a smooth, steaming playback. Buffering text is configurable in the XML configuration options.

The XML configuration file can be specified dynamically by passing it as a parameter to the Flash movie. Default file is config.xml.

Over two dozen configuration options exist in the XML configuration file, which can be edited using any good text editor, like Textpad (www.textpad.com).

All Flash 8 Pro source code, including .fla and .as (ActionScript) files, are included with the purchased version of this software.

Resize the applet without distorting the video controls. This permits resizable video displays while preserving the ability to control the playhead and volume.

Over two dozen XML configuration options can be set using an external XML configuration file. Only a simple text editor, like Textpad, is needed to edit the XML. Change settings like logo path, click URL, brightness, position of controls, transparency, color, and many more!

FLV video and non-progressive JPG logo are loaded externally from files. The paths to these files are set in the XML configuration. 100% of the Flash 2004 Professional source code is included, as well as a .dtd file to help validate your XML syntax.

Change the XML configuration filename by editing the HTML file that loads the applet, as shown here. Please note that this edit must be done in two separate places. By doing this, you can have multiple instances of the applet on a single HTML page, by giving each XML file a different name.

Full screen view permits the viewer a cinema-style display of the video, with a close button in the lower-right corner to return to normal view.

YouTube - like interface to rate videos is shown at the end video playback. The system advances to the next set of videos from videos.xml automatically.

Option exists to show the currently played video at its original size, or open a new window to show the video in full screen view.

Video paths and titles are stored in an XML file, alone with rating and view information. This file must be CHMOD'd after upload to your PHP server.

In config.xml, you may set the e-mail formatting options for the video sharing feature, with a link to view the video on your server, just like YouTube.com!

Over two dozen XML configuration options exist to adjust various aspects of the video applet, like color, video path, autostart, and other common options.

When users share a video, a YouTube-like email is received with a link to view the video on the server.

When a video is rated, the user's IP is recorded along with the file that was rated, to prevent duplicate ratings.
