Well, re-writing mafia as a module proved much easier than we first anticipated (which is good news). It's actually been working for several weeks now. However, through testing, it is looking more and more like we are going to have to re-write some other major functions that we didn't originally realize we would have to. Which is good news, and bad news. It's good because when we are finished, we will have a much sleeker product that is not built on hacks of previous versions. But bad because you have to wait some more to get said product. Even worse, some of the new features we wrote for Phoenix (upcoming version) will have to be totally re-written. But it's all for the best guys. If you have any comments, send them my way. Thanks for your patience.

The blog category publisher (for Blogger blogs) is now available for download. It was developed using PHP and was tested on Linux and Windows IIS with PHP 4 and 5. Questions are bound to come up that aren't answered in our documentation. So if you try to install the script and run into problems, please feel free to send us your unanswered question by going to our "Ask A Question" page and leaving your comment or question. We will compile answers to the questions you send in and post them here. But don't worry, personal and sensitive information will be kept private.

The current version of Archangel Weblog is technically a beta version. There are probably still a number of bugs to be worked out and features to be added as development continues. Meanwhile, you can take a look at the software in action at the blog "Entrenched Meanders." MobiLog! is an incredibly useful open source tool for moblogging (mobile weblogging).

It works like this: Once set up, you simply send an email using your cell phone (or other mobile device, such as a PDA) to a specified email address. Within minutes, whatever you sent will automatically appear on your site. With support for image attachments, you can even use your cell phone's built-in camera to post a picture online - without the need to be at your computer.
