I wrote this back when I was learning javascript. It is based on the Zenner card test. Try to see how well you do at predicting which shape will be selected. With the update the main change is that you can now click on the image to make your choice instead of using a button below the image as in the earlier version. Instructions for changing the images are in the source file.

For years now the internet has slowly chipped away at the desktop. In fact many of us have used some forms of web based application or "weblications" with little note. One popular example may be your email client, most people now will use some form of web based email client (Gmail, Hotmail, etc). Or how about map software, i find little need to actually buy a full blown map application since sites like Google Maps and Mapquest all suffice for my basic needs. So what holds us all back from fully converting to using our web browser as the platform for all our programs? Below I've compiled a list of weblications that have replace traditional desktop software. What is the missing piece in the web based application market?

Encyclopedia, Reference Software - Google and other search engines
Email Client - Gmail, Hotmail, etc

Could Solitaire be for some the last standing obstacle till we all switch to web-based applications for good? Long has the game of Solitaire been the barometer of when an OS is desktop ready. Requirements

It requires a modern web browser. For best results we actually recommend IE5+ or Opera 7+. It works fine on Firefox and Netscape 7+ other than an annoying quirk when dragging cards causes the page to be selected (I could not find a workaround for this quirk).

Fixed a bug in ai_play(): index3 was being assigned incorrect values causing the omission of many possible moves by the computer. I also discovered having ai_play() try to win and prevent the opponent from doing the same was not simple. The function now only tries to prevent the opponent from winning. Also, it now only looks 2 moves into the future, looking too far ahead was causing it to fail in its goal
