WebDate components control date and time input on the web page. New original design makes this task easy and fun thing to do.

Pick-A-Value has been renamed to WebDate for better alignment with other products.

When mouse is kept down on the date or time value change key, values start to scroll. Scroll speed is variable and it will increase the longer the mouse is down.

For better visibility cursor is switched to crosshair when over value change keys.

Many times I was asked to add this or that feature to the calendar script, some of these requested features were quite essential such as date range checking, and some were just optional such as long date format.

However, each user has his own needs for a calendar script, features critical to this user might be just wastes to another. I realized that an all-in-one calendar is not going to work very well for all the users, and I should code the calendar in a way that each user will be able to pick the desired calendar features exactly, and thus comes the Xin Calendar Mods.

Xin Calendar Mods is a collection of the core scripts and their mod scripts. The core scripts are the revised and trimmed versions of the Xin Calendar scripts, they provide the basic calendar function (aka, pops up to pick a date and you can change the calendar style), additional calendar features, such as date range checking, are coded as separated mod scripts.

When an user embeds the calendar to his web page, he will include the core script and the mod scripts he needs, and use the function calls provided by mod scripts to tailor his calendar

The event calendar on many group's web sites is often a key resource for their visitors. During an extended bout of unemployment I did some volunteer web site work for a local organization to which I belong and investigated how other groups were doing the event calendars on their sites.

I was looking for a way to put up an interactive event calendar on the site that would show the current month, but also let you flip backwards or forwards to other months as you would in a print calendar. I also wanted it to be inexpensive (preferably FREE), easy to maintain, visually attractive, plus not require any server-side scripting capability which our webhost provider did not include with our bare-bones webhosting package.

This calendar is easy to implement and configure. It can be used as a single calendar or used multiple times on a page. It can be a static calendar or can have clickable dates, the results of which are entered into a text field on your page. You can even restrict the calendar to a given time, or allow users to navigate to another month and year.

In short, fcp.Calendar is a tiny, self-contained Javascript library. It displays a monthly Gregorian calendar, such that an event is triggered any time the user clicks on a date.
