After Traffic Source is installed, you set up trackers via the Traffic Source Control Panel. These trackers will track who is referring traffic to pages of your web site. Traffic Source provides you with HTML code for each tracker which you place inside your web pages. When this is done Traffic Source will keep track of who is sending you traffic. You can then at any time log into the Control Panel to view web site statistics of who sent traffic with accompanying graph. You can also view the exact URLs of domains that sent traffic your way.
A1-Stats allows you to monitor how many people are visiting your site and where they come from. It is easy to install and configure using the auto-configure function. It should not be necessary to make any changes to the code. A1-Stats does not use system log files, so it should be able to run on any system. Full support is provided by means of the bulletin board, or questions can be sent to a1stats@gadnet.com.
A1-Stats is freeware. One, and only one feature has been deactivated in the free version. Although you can delete the statistics for any given file, you cannot delete the historical data for all files.

ApaLogFilter is a tool - released under the GNU General Public License - which filters and manipulates web server logfiles (NCSA Combined Log Format). The purpose is
to reduce the number of lines in the logfile to lines which are relevant for the statistics,
to manipulate the data in the entries, so that they can be better interpreted.
The analyses itself can be done with programs like analog or webalizer. This tool complements those by providing a preprocessing step for raising the quality of the reports
