The Multi Router Traffic Grapher (MRTG) is a tool to monitor the traffic load on network-links. MRTG generates HTML pages containing graphical images which provide a LIVE visual representation of this traffic. Thanks too the prgrammers Tobias Oetiker & Dave Rand . Yet today, Multu router Traffic Grapher is one of the major tool for monitoring activites of a server. Though windows has a built in "Performance Log" tracker system, a lot of guys would like to have a functionality of MRTG in

CounterLog monitors accesses to any pages which contain an SSI code referencing it. It can create NCSA-format agent and referer logs, which can be handy if your server doesn't happen to already provide you with that information. It can also be used to put text-based access counters on some or all of your pages. (Called via either SSI or JavaScript.)

Currently, Follow uses Perl 5 or greater, and has only been tested on Unix (although users have reported that it works well with Windows). It expects input in Common Logfile Format (combined with Access and Referer stats, if you wish) and outputs to plain text or HTML.

The log-reader.cgi program is designed to operate as a Perl/CGI program. It reads the Apache access_log file in standard ECLF format, interprets the records in this file, and returns (a) the most popular URL's on your web site and (b) the top TCP/IP addresses of clients who visited your web site.
With this information, you can determine which URL's on your site are popular, and who they appeal to. You can also tell if somebody has been spidering your web site by looking for uncommonly high numbers of hits from one web site address.
