You can install a program wich filters your mailbox and tries to sort out unwanted mail.
You can try to keep your address secret. Public web pages are a major source of email addresses, and spammers use so called "harvesters" to collect them.CGI and Perl > Scripts and Programs > Security SystemsOct 11, 2006Florian Berger
When a user applies for membership and submits the application via the sign up screen, their data is written as a PID file to a temp data directory on the server. A e-mail is then sent back to them at the e-mail address they entered. This e-mail contains a link to that PID file and instructions for the user to click or enter that link in their web browser URL/Address bar. Unless this is done the data will not be sent on to admin. If the application is not confirmed an auto scrub routine will remove it from the data directory at a pre-set time. If confirmed, this will validate that they have applied with a valid e-mail and the data is then extracted and written into a e-mail and sent on to the site admin.

iWatch is very simple to use, suppose you want to watch the change in /etc filesystem, you just need to run it in the console
$ iwatch /etc
and iwatch will tell you if something changes in this directory. And if you want to be notified per email:
$ iwatch -m admin@smsgw.local /etc
In this case, the admin will get email notification (maybe you can use your sms gateway account, so you will be alarmed immediately anytime and anywhere).
Web sites which use an abundance of Multimedia or Graphics content to sell their product or service are abused daily by users of software such as Teleport, PaqRat and Go!Zilla. 1000's upon 1000's of users are harvesting movies, sounds, images and other media directly from web sites without even visiting the web site or viewing the advertisements and products for which the content was provided to promote.
The port checker CGI script will check ports on your computer, or any other computer, to see if they are open, closed, or respondent. This will give you a good indicator to the status of your computer security settings and possible security threats. The port checker script can check an unlimited number of ports. Ports can be easily added or removed in the script just by opening the main file with notepad. Script checks ANY IP address you want, except reserved ones. This CGI script can make your customers come back over and over again!
