search engine is a CGI script done in PERL. When clicking on a search result, it will open the web page and send you down to the first instance of a keyword. This keyword is hyperlinked to the next instance of a keyword so that the web page will scroll down to it when the link is clicked on. All the keywords are hyperlinked in this manner

Matt Wright's Simple Search script that I have modified. Many new features have been added - A 'Nothing Found' screen with text input for a new search. a new sub-routine so that one can search directories seperately, making the search much faster if you have a lot of files. The script can be called directly with a browser, and it will print a blank form to the user. A sample text option, a checkbox on the HTML page, if checked will give a sample of the text on the page. The ammount of text is controlled by a variable in the search.cgi. It is set at 200 characters (about 40 words) you can set it at any number. Finally a counter that tells the user how many files were found for their search word(s).
I have not written much of a help file yet, I am hopeing the script is self-explainatory with the help written in the cgi. If you need help check Matt Wright's FAQ for the Simple Search first.
