After 404 Manager is installed, the notfound.cgi file is set as the error document handler for all file not found requests (details on how to do this are in the README.txt file included in the zip). For example, a page at http://somedomain.com/links.html may link to a page on your site http://yourdomain.com/page.html which does not exist. When a user clicks on the link on somedomain.com, 404 Manager kicks in, records the request for the page on your domain that was not found, and the referring url (http://somedomain.com/links.html). Then at your leisure, you can view 404manager.cgi and review your 404's and the sites that are linking to incorrect pages.
We designed this program for a site owner that has a function on their site that they would like to have users apply for a reservation. The use of it could be taliored in many ways.
When a user applies for a reservation for a start time and start date and end time and end date, the system looks in the database and if that is already reserved it returns a screen to the user with the times for that date that are still available. Upon submission of a reservation that is available, the personal information that they entered is written to the data base and a copy of what they submitted is sent to them in a e-mail and a copy is sent to the admin of the site.
Thank you for your interest in our programs. From the list below, choose the category of programs you would like to browse. All of our programs are CGI written in Perl 5 and are built for use on UNIX type servers which is the predominant server used on the Internet.
Introduction Because I had to administer my INN server here for offline reading and smaller news services for my friends in university and myself I wrote some smaller scripts to allow easy adding/removing of groups. Because I don't want to get all of the groups but only the ones I read I had to get the active file of my providers ISP, so there's get_active.pl which uses Net::NNTP to get the list from your provider. Then there's a filter for rpost to strip of unwanted headers. Because my rpost is not compiled with the perl-filter feature it takes the file as an argument. More scripts to come
