A simple browser based mailing list to start your own ezine, which helps to increase your sites traffic, bring back old customers, increase your revenue and build a community. The management area is browser based and password protected. Variable setup is easy to do as it is all browser based no editing of text file variables is required. This is one of the simplest ways to implement email marketing style internet promotion.
Subscribers join by entering their name and e-mail address into a form and submit. The script then e-mail's them asking if they wish to confirm their addition. If they click on confirm they are instantly added to your mailing list (if they click on remove now they are taken off the pending file and their information is not submitted to the list). Once a subscriber has confirmed their addition to your list they will be sent another e-mail with a greeting message to welcome them to your list. These automatic e-mail's are adjustable in the variable configuration section of the management area.

This script is designed to put Majordomo archives in a readable format. It will put one archive file per web page, so it may not be appropriate for a high-traffic list. The script works best running on the same server as majordomo, with world-readable archive files, though if you occasionally download the files over to another server it will work as well; just not auto-update. I have only tested it on a linux server running majordomo and sendmail, so if you have a different setup, the script itself may need some editing. I have no idea how well it will work anywhere but the one server I have tested it on

Hi, I have just started converting the lists I host from SmartList to Minimalist. I'm running it all under Linux and have been very pleased with the ease, speed and flexibility of Minimalist as compared to SmartList and Majordomo.

SibSoft CommuniMail is a mailing list manager and newsletter script, targeted to be used for small and medium business and personal sites. It is a program that handles the subscriptions of a mailing list and also sends out newsletters - emails that are received by everyone who is subscribed to the mailing list.
The goal of SibSoft CommuniMail is that it's able to be easily installed on Linux or Windows server and used by a non-technical person. This person does not have to be a professional web programmer. Also, it could be installed on server without mySQL database and use text files (CSV) as a data storage and could be used on any hosting (virtual or dedicated). Integration with website is quite easy and could be completed by anyone, however, we provide free intallation service.
Why Perl, but not PHP?
Of course, we will not dispute the fact that PHP is "light" programming language and so easy to learn (That's why anyone using PHP for web development) - everyone like it and we using it as well in our other projects. However, Perl is older and more flexible development tool (and more compliacted) than PHP. And it's a well known fact that Perl a times faster than PHP, especially when running mod_perl.
That's why we've used Perl to create this system - our customers need performance. Especially in background tasks like newsletter sending used in any newsletter script.
