What does the Dead Link check tell me?
This check indicates whether links throughout your site, or per page, are connecting as you expect them to.
2. How many links are checked?
All links on your web site will be checked. Remember, the proccess will slow down if you have over 50 links per page.
3. What if a link is reported as a "failed"?
We recommend manually checking such links. If it is a link to a site that you do not maintain, and if the connection is very slow to respond, 69Boss.com may not have been able to verify the link. If the link is internal to your site, you should verify the HTML structure.
4. What about links to secure documents and password protected pages?
We respect your privacy, therefore we check only links that are open for anonymous access. Links that require passwords and links on Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol will be marked as "failed".

LinkChecker is a web-master's dream come true. It not only takes in a list of links and tells you which ones are bad links, but it gets so specific as to tell you which ones redirect to other pages, which are forbidden access links, which are successful, and which are the old 'File Not Found' pages. The greatness doesn't end there! For you with rather large links lists and don't have time to finish it all (which is a very rare case because of the intense speed of this package) or maybe the system crashes, it supports a resume feature. This is an automatically implemented feature. It uses a DBM DB which enables such blazing fast speed.
