This is a very simple animation script. Great for doing slide shows on one of your pages. Very easy to set up, and all you need to run the script is a line of code in your HTML file.
All the images should be the same size, to look best.
Slideviewer allows you to define a slideshow from a list of predefined images, or by specifying a directory with images in it. Images can be local or remote.
Slideviewer allows you have a vast array of controls for running the slideshow, like: image resizing, random links, slide index, auto advancement of slides, and jumping to a specified slide number. You can make the controls as simple or as complicated as you like
You get complete control of the look of the slideshow through design templates. You can define as many design templates as you like for a different look and feel. Using templates means you don't have to touch any perl code.
slider can be run in interactive and batch mode. interactive is recommended in most cases. config options may be changed in the script.
the default output directory is the current directory. you may move the generated files after generation is complete provided that the file structure relative to the image directory does not change.
Use slideshow to create a client pull slideshow of html documents.
One particular use may be: Let's say you download a bunch of pictures from alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.fetish.mitsubishi.eclipse and you want to have your hands free to... take notes while you view the pictures. Use gif2html to create an html file for each graphic in a particular directory and then use slideshow to link each together in a self advancing slideshow.
Now you have the option of displaying the filenames as HREFs in one frame and the pictures in another, so you don't have to watch the show in a linear fashion.
