Open Source Guestbook for Your Website

I was reading UCSD's student newspaper (the Guardian) Tuesday night, mostly because I found it lying on the ground while I was waiting for math discussion (and also because it's a pretty interesting read -- I don't make a habit of reading everything I find lying on the ground). A few quotes grabbed my attention, so I highlighted them, dusted of the newspaper, and shoved it in my backpack. I just realized that the paper was still sitting on my desk, so I'll relay those quotes now. Self Installer. Once uploaded, this self installer (critique_color.cgi) will allow you to set font, font colors, table background colors, page background color & graphic, header graphic and more. Instead of manually editing the actual script, web pages and style sheets, this script addition along with critique_create.cgi will create all the necessary files and place them where they need to be giving a uniform look to your critique book.

Addition of 'required' fields (no longer will you have blank entries in your critique book.
HTML Ripping. No HTML entries be allowed in your book (I know.. you're really bummed, you LIKE it when someone links a 3MB graphic to your critique book).
Other miscellaneous fixes and updates.
NOTE: When running critique_color.cgi in some older browsers the screen (other than the entry boxes) will be completely black (hard to read black on black, no?). You can either upgrade to a newer browser, or: select the text (left click your mouse and drag through the page, not releasing the button, this will highlight the text) to find the appropriate box to change the background color, place '#FFFFFF' in the box (without the apostrophe's), then choose the 'check it' submit button (this will update the page changing the background color to white so you can now see the text).
