General Overview
6972 General Overview http://www.rediris.es/app/sitemgryap/ SiteMgr YAP is a set of perl scripts that let webmasters give their users the chance of managing homepages from the browser. The users of SiteMgr YAP may create their homepages from the editing window, or upload html files from their local machines to the web server. They also have the possibility of deleting, renaming and copying files or directories. Navigating through the directories, and seeing the generated pages is also very easy with SiteMgr YAP.

The main script, sitemgr, is bassed on Sanford Morton's sitemgr perl script.

YAP stands for 'Yet Another Port'. There is a port of the original sitemgr for Windoze NT. This is the second port of sitemgr.

File System Manager is a total web based file management solution. FSM offers aesthetically pleasing interfaces, as well as stable and useful file management utilities. With this program, you can offer your users access to their files without worrying about security, or abuse. It has built in security features, such as automatic account suspension, login limitations to prevent brute-force, and user specific and global file restrictions.

99% of the HTML generated by FSM comes from the 40+ template files. Each template file comes with a set of custom html tags, that allow for maximum customization. What this all means, is that you can implement any site design you wish, allowing for seamless integration with existing websites.

WebRFM 0.4 is now available. The main changes are listed in the changelog.
There is a SECURITY BUG in all previous versions of WebRFM that might allow users to access files outside of their virtual root directories. This would be hard to do by accident, or in the course of regular usage, but a malicious would-be cracker might be able to discover how to do that. This problem is fixed in version 0.4. If you rely on WebRFM virtual roots for access control, then you are STRONGLY ADVISED to UPGRADE TO THE LATEST VERSION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. If you are using a modified previous version of WebRFM, such that upgrading may be a problem, then please drop me a note. I will provide you with a quick fix by e-mail.
