HyperText Markup Language
6964 HyperText Markup Language http://planet.time.net.my/klcc/ngkokyong/index.html HTML is the lingua franca for publishing hypertext on the World Wide Web. It is a non-proprietary format based upon SGML, and can be created and processed by a wide range of tools, from simple plain text editors - you type it in from scratch- to sophisticated WYSIWYG authoring tools. HTML uses tags such as

and

to structure text into headings, paragraphs, lists, hypertext links etc. Here is a 10-minute guide for newcomers to HTML. W3C's statement of direction for HTML is given on the HTML Activity Statement. See also the page on our work on the next generation of Web forms, and the section on Web history.

WebRFM 0.4 is now available. The main changes are listed in the changelog.
There is a SECURITY BUG in all previous versions of WebRFM that might allow users to access files outside of their virtual root directories. This would be hard to do by accident, or in the course of regular usage, but a malicious would-be cracker might be able to discover how to do that. This problem is fixed in version 0.4. If you rely on WebRFM virtual roots for access control, then you are STRONGLY ADVISED to UPGRADE TO THE LATEST VERSION AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. If you are using a modified previous version of WebRFM, such that upgrading may be a problem, then please drop me a note. I will provide you with a quick fix by e-mail.

The File Transfer System is designed to be installed on a web server along with your html files. Using CGI scripts, clients can remotely make file transfers with the server without help from the webmaster. The client can do the following on the server:

Create new directories with password protection (5 user definable levels available)
Delete empty directories
Upload files
Download files
Delete files
For security reasons, the client can only do the above in a file space assigned to the system. Deleting more than one files or directories at once is also prevented by filtering the client's input for wildcards (actually all client input is translated into "non violent" text). Finally, directories have to be empty before deletion is approved. Every thinkable error is accounted for.

With this system, a group of users can share a file space available from any web browser connected to the internet. You don't need special plug-ins to run this system. In addition, the installation process is made as easy as possible: Just change a few lines in an ini file and run the setup script. Voila
