mySiteMaker is a collection of CGI tools written in Perl that rapidly create web interfaces to MySQL or PostgreSQL database tables. It started out as a "Lite" version of phpMyAdmin, which may sound silly and pointless because phpMyAdmin is such a great tool for administrators, BUT sometimes phpMyAdmin is overkill; especially when you want a web front end to a database and the intended users are the general public and not administrators. Since its beginning, however, many, many useful features have been added that make mySiteMaker an entirely different beast.

1. DBM format
A demo is worth a thousand words. Do me a favor and delete garbage records (but leave entertaining ones). Here's the initial input screen, which in this demo will only work if the file name is demo. Don't be alarmed if you get warnings; it just means other people are trying it at the same time.

We also undertake purely script writing too. ASP Access Databases, Flat text files Databases (CSV) and Php MySQL Databases are speciality of the website in addition to web design. Scripts in ASP Databases use MS Access .mdb files, and Flat text files databases use CSV files and are in Perl CGI language and Php databases use MySQL databases. These are generated online. Relevant html pages for Search, Add, Edit and Delete functions are also generated online. You can test the generated CGI Perl script on our server before downloading it. Presently ASP Access and Php MySQL scripts cannot be tested online.

I'm posting my code starting with the most simple scripts and working my way up. The simple stuff is easier to prepare for posting, and I think it's also more widely useful. These are the building blocks, and I find that as time goes on, knowing how to build simple tools that apply to a wide variety of problems has boosted my productivity more than anything else.
