No dll installation required: VBSdb is an open source VBScript object, compatible with ASP 2.0 and ASP 3.0. It works with both PWS, IIS 4.0 and IIS 5.0
Database independent: VBSdb supports ADO 2.x enabled datasources (Microsoft Access, SQL Server, FoxPro, Oracle, MySql and others)
Easy to use: Display your database queries with as little as 5 lines of code!
Four view modes: a Grid mode, a Form view and any combination of the two, allowing the user to browse a small number of key fields in Grid mode, while displaying current record complete details in Form mode
Advanced search screen: the user will be able to apply virtually any filter condition to select a record subset
Three edit modes: screens for adding a new record, for updating or deleting an existing one. Just 3 additional lines of code are required!
Style Sheets: Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are fully supported
Advanced cell formatting: transforms field values to custom HTML. Trivial to display images from your database
Grid templates: fully customize your data grid layouts, writing simple HTML with special VBSdb tags to represent field values
Tables/Subtables: in a single page, you can easily place a main table and as many subtables as you like. Cascading subtables are supported!
