Ever noticed that the mysql command line client isn't very useful when you need to write complex joins or create a table with a lot of fields? One typo means a lot of re-typing. There are some great clients out there, but they don't fit every situation. Most require a GUI or PHP installed on a machine with access to the database, something that's not always available.

web based lightweight MySQL database browser called Websqlbrowse. Websqlbrowse is a pretty dirty hack that I wrote a couple years back. I'm not particularly proud of the writing style for this product but it is pretty decent as a lightweight database browser and was able to serve my task management needs for years until I needed a multi-user system.
DiscDB is a little program that will use MySQL to catalog all files in your CDs, making it easy to find a file without having to switch discs until you find it. Useful for people who save all their downloads to CD-Rs.
