Script Packer or Website Packer is a simple script designed for the power user. It allows you to pack lots of files into one or two large ones. It works on a similar principal to zip archives without the compression, and based in php. This means that you must have PHP enabled to either pack or extract using this script. Packing scripts/websites allows for fast transfer between hosts, speedy uploads, professional script installers and so much more.

ImageMap control is another new server control released in ASP.NET 2.0. It enables you to turn an image into a navigation menu. In the past, developers would break an image into multiple pieces and put it together again in a table, reassembling the pieces into one image.

One of the newest things to take the web development industry by storm is the use of AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript And XML), which uses the XMLHttpRequest object. The beauty of this new technology is it allows designers and developers to add interactive or live parts to their website without have to reload the page. This can include live information such as stock market values (the FTSE 100 is a great example as its value can change as quickly as every minute) and the number of posts on a forum. All these values could change on a page without having to refresh to page every minute.
This tutorial will hopefully give you some idea on how to use the XMLHttpRequest object in your website apps to improve user interactivity and the general functionality of your website. It is advised that you have some background knowledge of JavaScript, and for this example, PHP (or some other server-side scripting language such as Perl or ASP).
Below is the entire code of the script, so you can see what it will look like at the end. I will go through each part in turn through the tutorial:
Personally, I have been thinking that something better that might come out to challenge the supremacy of Ajax – and there is. Although there is no official for that name yet, some developers have started calling it Comet. The name does not really connote everything but an Irish website has started to call this practice Comet and has slowly caught up with different developers worldwide.
Users arrive at a Web site with different agendas. Some wander through the site like window shoppers, while others are on a mission to find a critical piece of information. Whether it is a trade contact, a foreign literature review, a chemical formula, or song lyrics of the 1960s, these people know what they want and they want to find it fast. No matter how well your site is designed, not everyone knows how to get to the right topic by following links. For such specific needs, the prearranged links on your site may seem too cumbersome to use. Cross references between similar topics are particularly hard to link together since you can't always predict what people want to see first.
This program checks the PageRank on the mayor Google datacenters. Most times it indicates that Google is in the middle of a PageRank update when the results vary from datacenter to datacenter.

The event calendar on many group's web sites is often a key resource for their visitors. During an extended bout of unemployment I did some volunteer web site work for a local organization to which I belong and investigated how other groups were doing the event calendars on their sites.
I was looking for a way to put up an interactive event calendar on the site that would show the current month, but also let you flip backwards or forwards to other months as you would in a print calendar. I also wanted it to be inexpensive (preferably FREE), easy to maintain, visually attractive, plus not require any server-side scripting capability which our webhost provider did not include with our bare-bones webhosting package.
The EPB Calendar Date Selector, true to its name, is a JavaScript object that creates a calendar so that your users may submit date information to web forms without needing to type in a date.
Whenever your forms are asking a user to fill in a date field, whether it be posting dates for a blog, departure dates for a flight, or user info like a date of birth, your form will benefit from a DHTML popup calendar. Date fields are prone to many well-known problems, such as typos, confusion regarding date formats, time consuming, etc.. Javascript popup calendars are now expected to be part of your GUI. Traditionally, they are time consuming to program, and almost impossible to test for every different platform. DateClick solves all of these problems
