How to configure the XML

Best way to learn is to look at the XML included, the root node can be named anything, and after that the node names are the key words, the program takes a sentence, breaks apart the words and searches the keywords in order till it finds some text.

Special Characters

In the XML you can include special character that add functionality:

- the "|" character (with out quotes) is used in the XML to represent a newline

- the ":" is used to indicate a function call, the component will call it's callback function and pass it the string after ":",

5. News on Note Paper

Unlimited news items on note paper.

A stylish way of presenting your news!

Add as many news items as you like via an easy to edit XML file.

When you rollOver an item it is circled in blue pencil and you can click to open a link in a new window. Each news item has it's own unique url which you specify in the XML file.

You can also edit the title "NEWS" in the xml file if you need to.

You can use the scroll bar on the right to scroll through the content. It only appears when the content doesn't fit on the paper.

6. MazeDot Component

MazeDot is a particle generator using random movements for each particle generated. It is presented with an interface that let the user test the parameter while the component is running.

It can easily produce snow, fire, smoke and some amazing effects such as flash random object falling, snowflakes, rain, ligthts etc.

17. Vertical Scroller Slideshow

The Vertical Scroller Slideshow displays multiple images(jpg, png, gif or swf ) that can be scrolled automatically or via a scrollbar. When scrolled manually, the scroller auto-snaps to the closest image. Each image has a link that opens when you click on it. Images and links are configured through an XML file.

Dots 1.0 is a neat visual effect based on "dots" that react to mouse movement by avoiding the mouse cursor. "Dots" can really be any movie clip you'd like to use. You can have as many or as few "dots" in your flash project as you like, and they can be dropped anywhere on the screen (they're arranged in a circle for the example file).

Editing Dots 1.0 is simple. All the important code is contained within the library item "Dot". "Dot" has a "Graphics" layer that can be edited freely to customize the look of your "Dots". "Dot" also contains an actions layer which contains all the code.
