Most web hosts claim to have big powerful servers but how do you know? With our server hardware information script you can verify your hosts servers hardware. Using this script you can check to make sure that your Unix or Linux servers specifications match those stated by your host. Our script checks server uptime, servers average load for the past 1, 5, and 15 minutes, detailed host information, total server memory, and current memory usage, plus the type, and speed of each CPU.
Our server hardware information script uses PHP's system command to run commands like you were sitting at the console. This allows you to directly access the servers configuration files and see what hardware is really installed in a server. This script is very similar to the WHM control panel server information page.
Usually regular tasks like backup up the site's database are run using cron jobs. With cron jobs, you can exactly plan when a certain command is to be executed. But most homepage owners can't create cron jobs on their web server ? providers demand some extra money for that.
The only thing that's certain to happen quite regularly on a web page are page requests. This is where pseudo-cron comes into play: With every page request it checks if any cron jobs should have been run since the previous request. If there are, they are run and logged.
This free php script checks server status through any web browser. The script is called through a standard tag, and can be used to check multiple web pages, web servers or domains. When the script finds that the server is active, an active image will appear on the status page. If the server is down, the script will display a disconnected image. Several 'live' and 'dead' server images are included in the download.
