Ivis Newsletter is a PHP/MySQL based newsletter management program. Features include admin control panel, subcribssion, unsubscribssion of members, html or plain text emails and has a php mailer class program integrated so it runs without restrictions from the php settings regarding the mail() function.

Do to limitations with all the other subscriber systems (or modules) out there, the goal of this project was to create the entire subscription process. I drew a line in the sand at the mailer aspect as there are many thousands of mailers out there. I am currently still trying to get a few to work and once they do I will add a section here on suggested mailers to use with this system. If you have any that you like, please contact me and I will review them and add them here

As privacy in an email list is important, each time source code is requested here, a different file named "emaillist-XXXXXXXXXX.txt" will be assigned to the file where emails will be stored. The code "XXXXXXXXXX" is composed by letters and numbers. Users will be unable to discover this code. The file may be saved in a different location within the server. The first time an email is added to the list, a file with the above name will be created. In case it is not possible to create the file, a message is shown. In those cases the webmaster must check permissions in the directory to allow creating files (or just create a file with corresponding name and check its permissions).
