Requirements:
Hosting service account that includes NT/IIS, ASP support.
You must have a directory that has write permission for scripts (IIS user) - Some services provide you with one, others allow you to set permissions, and still others require you contact support to have them set permissions.
Limitations:
An ASP page must be accessed from your site after the server restarts for the log entry to occur.
The date & time logged will be that of the first such access, not the actual restart time.
Depending upon the traffic to your site, the server could go down and back up without it being logged before it goes down and up again.ASP > Scripts and Components > Server ManagementOct 10, 2006

Admin Report Kit for IIS (ARKIIS) is a powerful reporting tool for Microsoft IIS Administrators. ARKIIS presents IIS configuration information from the IIS Metabase in the form of Trees, Tables and Views. All categories of information reported by ARKIIS are available across multiple web servers and websites. ARKIIS is particularly useful in monitoring and tracking web servers that have a large number of websites, virtual directories and associated configuration settings.

DrTaskScheduler is easy to use COM library useful for managing scheduled tasks. Whole library is implemented in one dll file (DrTS.dll) written in C++, and consists of three COM classes: DrTaskScheduler, DrTask and DrTaskTrigger. You can use these classes for example from Visual Basic, WSH, ASP or C++.
Tip: Use DrTaskScheduler from VB, ASP, WSH, C++ to manage local and remote scheduled task on your network.
When you want to use DrTS.dll you must have Microsoft Task Scheduler component (included in Microsoft Internet Explorer) installed on your computer. If you are running Windows 98, Windows Task Scheduler is already installed. You should see a small icon in the task bar which can be used to stop and start the scheduler. To install Task Scheduler under Windows 95 or Windows NT4 run Add/Remove Programs from Control Panel. Select Microsoft Internet Explorer from the list, and then select Add a component. Finally when you use IE4 select Task Scheduler under Additional Explorer Enhancements. With IE5 select the Offline Browsing Pack.
This script can detect installed components on your IIS. Useful for people without access to the server where you often don't know what's installed. No installation required, just download the script and run it from your site. Currently it checks for more than 700 components and the component-list is always up-to-date because of central list management. Automatic updates, now even better.
