myFtPhp is a free filemanager written in php. It can upload, download, rename, delete, edit, view files and show directories in a tree structure. Supports multiple users with personal home directory, language and color theme. uses famfamfam icon library.
The PHP code of Web File Browser will run on any up-to-date PHP-capable server. Apache is the most notably example, but no Apache-specific functions are required.
After having forgotten about File Thingie for about a year Jonas asked me why it wasn't available from my website. I gave the old code an overhaul, added some new features and a new stylesheet. Presto. And after getting feedback from a handful of users a new version is out. Even more presto!
It is designed to be used by those that don't want to use ftp or SHOULD NOT use ftp. It can be dropped into a specific directory and give access to that directory as well as any directory below it, including those created by SFM.
One more fix in previous versions users were able to copy, rename, upload files witn invalid extensions by simply using capitalized letters, ie: hackweb.pHp would pass the validation check. Replaced strstr with stristr. Contribution thank you once again goes to Danny Brugman
