eXtplorer is a web-based File Manager. You can use it to
browse directories & files on the server and
edit, copy, move, delete files,
search, upload and download files,
create and extract archives,
create new files and directories,
change file permissions (chmod) and much more...
You can even use eXtplorer to login to the FTP server (like net2ftp) and work as if you were using an FTP client.
After having forgotten about File Thingie for about a year Jonas asked me why it wasn't available from my website. I gave the old code an overhaul, added some new features and a new stylesheet. Presto. And after getting feedback from a handful of users a new version is out. Even more presto!
It is designed to be used by those that don't want to use ftp or SHOULD NOT use ftp. It can be dropped into a specific directory and give access to that directory as well as any directory below it, including those created by SFM.
Lite Web-based file management system. Used primarily as an FTP replacement. Supports directory confinement which blocks users from traversing out of a folder.
The PHP code of Web File Browser will run on any up-to-date PHP-capable server. Apache is the most notably example, but no Apache-specific functions are required.
