There are a lot of tree generating scripts just like this one, and many of them are great. So why use dTree?
dTree is very simple to set up and use. You don't have to worry about adding pages to the tree in a specific order, which makes it ideal for generating a tree from a database.

JSCookTree (v2.01) is a powerful tree script written in JavaScript to support themes. v2.0 is a complete re-write so that many functions demanded by v1.0 users are supported.

I wrote the script for my phpXplorer system. The script is not intended to be a website menu.
Due to use of the DOM the script only works in modern browsers like MSIE > 5.0, Netscape/Mozilla/Firefox and Opera.
Without support for dead Browsers the size of the script is only 12kb and there are no browser switches inside the code.
A funny feature is that the treeview is able to define its data definition by itself.
