This entry is a little more technical in nature. So you have a web site and a place to host your picts of your friends and family? or perhaps your baby (imagine that!). As it turns out your host uses Active Server Pages (ASP) for scripting. The following script is a free that we wrote for just that purpose, the ASP Photo Album. It also contains a couple ImageReady Droplets so that you can automate the process of re-sizing images and creating thumbnail versions of your images.

In visiting Keri's web journal on MSN Spaces, I noticed a feature that I really liked. There is an image rotator on the main page that scrolls through images in her photo gallery. I thought this would be a nice feature, so I began a quest to add it to my site

This is a simple little application used to show off images.

Using Persits ASPJpeg, this builds thumbnail images and finds image dimensions.

Upload images and then use admin function to scan and input images into a database.

ASP Folder Gallery is the same gallery engine that has been used on ZeppelinArt for over 5 years. It is extremely easy to use and can efficiently handle hundreds of folders and thousands of images. Although it may lack (for now) some of the features available in other gallery scripts, for dynamic folder browsing and searching it is highly recommended.
