This script will generate a nice hiarchical dropdown menu in DHTML. This script is tested under firefox, mozilla, opera and msie 6. All layout stuff can be configured in the CSS stylesheet. I've build this script only for my own site. But to make your life easy I've made it open source ;) This menu can do vertical suff also, it's configurable in this version. You may use the script any way you like, but a link back to me would be nice ;) Download the compressed .tgz file and use for example WinRAR to decompress the file. Have fun.

JSnav can be used to display consistent navigation throughout your site. It is very configurable, all colors, fonts, etc. can be easily changed. Set up your site hierarchy by specifying the URL, page name, and parent of every page. Once the hierarchy is set up, making changes of any size becomes easy.

4. HV Menu v5.5
We named this script "HV menu" for its ability to be laid out both horizontally (as a top menu) and vertically (as a side menu), but it might as well be for its highly versatile nature. The menu's impressive list of features makes it one of the best scripts of its kind today:
Ability to act either as a horizontal or vertical menu (through toggle of a single variable)
Multi-level submenus supported (ie: 3 levels down)
Menu interface completely customizable (color, alignment etc)
Drop down in another frame supported (frames support)
Functional in all major DHTML browsers- IE4+, NS4, NS6+, Opera7+
New features in version 5.5 (compared to v5.0):
Menu status clarified- HV menu found on Dynamic Drive may be used on both commerical and non commerical sites. This applies EXCLUSIVELY to script found on Dynamic Drive, and not author's site.
Menu can be vertically static

More control over arrows.
Fixed relative positioning bug in Mozilla

A cool menu bar that automatically slides open from the left edge of the screen as the surfer moves the mouse over it. Moving the mouse out will cause it the bar to slide back in. The menu uses an external page as its content to display. This allows you to configure the menu simply by editing the external file, through HTML.
