13688Active DHTML Drop Down JavaScript Menuhttp://www.jpowered.com/dhtml/sddm/index.htmDrop down menus enable users to access several possibilities within the click of a mouse. The good news for your Web site is that building drop down menus doesn't require much work at all!
Adding popup menus to your web page or site can not only make a big visual difference, but it can also create a much more user-friendly environment for visitors. Popup menus allow for much more freedom in how the site looks and feels as a user clicks through it. They can make the difference between a site that seems dated, and one that seems to be very technologically advanced.JavaScript > Scripts and Programs > Navigation > MenusOct 12, 2006Patrick OBrien

A cool menu bar that automatically slides open from the left edge of the screen as the surfer moves the mouse over it. Moving the mouse out will cause the bar to slide back in. Browsers other than NS 4+ and IE 4+ will simply see nothing.
AnyLink CSS Menu is a cool script that adds a drop down menu to any link on your page. Each menu is implemented as plain HTML (a DIV containing links) on the page, making the menu contents search engine friendly and potentially much easier to deploy and customize than menus where the contents are stored inside the script. And to top things off, the drop down menu behaves intelligently in that if it's too close to the four corners of the browser window, it will reposition itself to avoid being obscured partly.
Be sure to also check out AnyLink Drop Down Menu, which differs from AnyLink CSS Menu mainly in that the menu contents are specified inside the script. If your site is dynamic, this may be an easier script to deploy across the entire site.
