AnyLink Vertical Menu
13658 AnyLink Vertical Menu http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/anylinkvertical.htm This is an alternate version of our AnyLink Drop Down Menu that works with vertical links instead. The menu is positioned to the right of the link, and works with most types of links, whether it's a regular text link, image link, or even a table cell or list (
  • ) that happens to contain a link. Furthermore, this script detects the four corners of the browser window and readjusts the menu so it's always in view.

The script works in all the major DHTML browsers- IE4+, NS6+, and Opera7+. You can specify a valid default URL for each link for other browsers to navigate to. Cool!

Demo: Below shows using AnyLink Vertical Menu on a regular text link and
  • element, respectively: JavaScript > Scripts and Programs > Navigation > Menus Oct 12, 2006 Dynamic Drive

This is a stylish collapsible menu modelled after the navigational menu found on Slashdot. Session-only cookies are used to remember the menu state (whether it's expanded or not). Cool!

New: You can now add a expand/ contract all links to the menu, to allow your visitors to easily toggle the visibility of all submenus. Furthermore, you can specify if all submenus should be contracted by default when the menu first loads (see top of "menu.js").

Demo: The menu titles expand and contact onclick:

If you have a lot of menu links and not a lot of space, this is the script to turn to. It compacts any content into a predefined area, with the content accessible via left and right scroll buttons. Browsers other than IE 4+ or NS 4+ will simply see nothing.

Updated: You can now reverse the scroll directions of the left and right buttons. Script also updated for a Mozilla bug and now works in webpages with a strict doctype setting.

Add a stylish "highlight" effect to your table menus using this versatile DHTML script. A thin border is applied around the table cell () in participation as the mouse moves over it, with this effect visible in IE4+ and NS6+. Great and lightweight effect.

Menu G5 is a dhtml menu package for general purpose. Besides its rich features and full cross-frame support, Menu G5 further differentiates itself from other menu scripts by separateing the menu content, the menu style (CSS) and the menu logic (position, alignment, direction, layout, behavior, floating, etc.) for easy maintenance.
