TSPreviewImage is a Dreamweaver extension very useful for building dynamic image previews over thumbnails. When you roll the mouse over an image preview, the full-size selected image is shown in a floating draggable box with shadows and fade animation effects. For example if you have a bunch of thumbnails on a page if you roll your mouse over it will show a larger version of it.
CMotion Image Gallery II is based on the original Cmotion Gallery script, modified by jscheuer1 for a vertical orientation instead. The script uses the most intuitive input devise available, the user's mouse, to control its scrolling action! The user can direct both the image scrolling direction and speed just by placing the mouse on either spectrums of the image gallery. Clicking on an image can then load a larger version of it, navigate to a page etc. Apart from the gallery's dimensions, you can also specify its top scrolling speed, with the script then creating a range from 0-top speed and distributing it evenly across the gallery. Cool!
This cool script will not only preload images, but update you on its progress, live, using an update bar (all constructed using code!). Requires Internet Explorer 4+ to work, with all other browsers simply bypassing the preloading.
Something for a product catalog? This JavaScript lets you click on thumbnails to display full-size images on the same page. The clever part is that if your browser doesn't allow you to get or set elements of the documentimages array - or doesn't even have JavaScript - then it will still do something intelligent. If the browser can manipulate document images, then it simply in-lines the large image. If it can't, or if it doesn't recognise JavaScript at all, it will simply display the image by itself, in a new page.
