1135CrazyBeavers Upload Class 1.2http://www.crazybeavers.se/First of all I just want to say that I've managed to fix both the forum and Beaverblogg.com now so they should both work fine. It took quite some work though, especially since I had to spend about 10 hours of development on the forum to get a working version online again with the security maintained. I set out a few weeks ago to rebuild the security parts of it to handle user groups and a few other pieces and it went quite out of my hands. Now when the code I was using online was deleted I had no other option then to complete my half done work to get it back online as soon as possible.
Anyway, in that progress I stumbled upon a few bugs reported by various people had reported on my upload class that I hadn't been able to reproduce earlier. However, when I moved to my new server it started to happen everytime. Seeing that I felt that I really had to get down on this and fix it so now I've spent most of the evening rewriting the parsing routine to work in every case I can think of. I've tested this on my local machine (XP SP2), my old server machine (Win2k Server) and my new server machine (Win2k3 Server) and it runs smooth on all of them. Seeing that it works so great (and fast, I only lost about 2% speed in my first tests but I might have got those percent back later when optimizing ) I decided to put out a new release immediately so now you can grab CrazyBeavers Upload Class 1.2 from the products pageASP > Scripts and Components > File Manipulation > Upload SystemsOct 10, 2006Karl-Johan Sjögren
This free script lets you create upload forms on your web site. You will be able to do it easily, without having to buy a binary component.
Binary components are expensive and difficult to install. The installation of a component requires special permissions on the server. The advantage of an uploading script is that you can add it yourself, even to an account in a web-hosting company that doesn't let customers install binaries.
Performance is not sacrificed in this ASP script. Powerful stream classes have been available on ASP servers for some time. These classes take the brunt of the work and ensure good performance. The VBScript code merely adds logic to control these streams. You can try uploading a large file in the box on the right and you will see that the time to transfer the file is only dependent on your connection, not on the Free ASP Upload code.
To learn how to add the Free ASP Upload script to your web site, see the documentation page; the same page also provides an explanation on how the script works internally. To make sure your system has an updated environment that supports this script, see the requirements page. To look at the code, press the View Source button in the menu. To download a ZIP file with the ASP script, press Download.

One of our clients wanted to preview commercials on the Internet, so ISSI created the Active Sever Component, dgFileUpload.
With Active Server Pages, you use the Request Object to upload information sent in a request from a browser to a server. Unfortunately, using Request.Form you can only upload text.
dgFileUpload allows you to upload a binary file to your server. And a binary file means not just text, but pictures, gifs, movies, MP-3 sound, and even commercials can be displayed. This also means there is no need to fool around with FTP.
So think of dgFileUpload as a "Improved Version" of Request.Form.
And think of the possibilities that dgFileUpload can offer you, the developer.
