A Bit Like Clockwork is a simple little CGI application for displaying the current date and time to visitors of your web page. Nothing fancy in here. I wrote it for my page, and a few people asked me for it, so here it is.

With the recent increase in security flaws found in Internet Explorer (IE), we recommend that web users switch from IE to a different web browser. The United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) has even stated that internet users can protect themselves from these security holes by using a different web browser.

If the time you wish to display differs from your servers localtime() uncomment ( remove the # from before the variable) the appropriate choice of the two below. If your time is two hours ahead of your servers, set $more to read like so->
$more = '2';
And if it is less, use less. If your time is the same as your servers, leave them commented out

You want to generate the current epoch offset for UNIX. The count forward since 8am on 1st Jan 1970.

Or conversely you want to see the date and time, for a given epoch offset.
