The answer is shown below. All I had to do was create an object, and use "expando properties" to fill it with recordsets. The function DBGetNamedRecords takes the name of the recordset and the SQL to fill it.

When you're querying a Db typically you're looking for an exact match (=), less than (<), greater than (>), less than or equal to (<=), greater than or equal to (=>), or not equal to (< >). Which give you quite a number of ways that you can display your data, but with these operators a partial match is not allowed. In order to facilitate a partial match the like operator must be used and it's entirely up to you how that match is made. The example db contains most of the Titles, AirDates and What Bart Simpson writes in the blackboard at the beginning of The Simpson's (TM).

DSN Connections
In my earlier article on Accessing the database from ASP I explained connecting to database via DSN in a step by step mannner. So there is no need to repeat that again, you can see it from there.
DSN stands for 'Data Source Name'. It is an easy way to assign useful and easily rememberable names to data sources which may not be limited to databases alone e.g Excel spread sheet etc.
I will now skip the steps of creating and assigning DSN to a database, you can see them by clicking here. Once you are done creating a DSN for your data source ( database lets say ), you can connect to it using following code

The driving force behind Active Server technologies is data access. In order to develop a truly dynamic web site developers need to allow users to access data on demand. Luckily, with Microsoft's Active Server Pages, this is exceedingly easy to do. This article for ASP beginners details how to connect to a SQL Server 7.0 database using ActiveX Data Object (ADO) and Open Database Connectivity (ODBC).

ASP is a pseudo-programming language aimed at HTML development. It allows web pages to do more than contain just static content. By placing ASP tags in with your HTML tags, you can have a page that interacts with the user. The page can make decisions based on logic and user input. If you're familiar with HTML, then you know that an HTML tag uses <> around it's tags. For example
this text will be bold would make this text will be bold. ASP is similar in that it uses delimiter tags like HTML. However, the tags differ slightly. An ASP delimiter tag starts with <% and ends with %>.

This page demonstrates the capabilities how to display a table from a SQL statement. It illustrates not only how to display the table, but also how to detect that no records were returned from a query, and how to detect null and blank values in the data.

Allowing multiple choices of data observations enables people to customize views of your data and adds value to your applications. The following example utilizes our db on the career statistics of Hammerin? Hank Greenberg. The years he played are available to select from in a dropdown menu. When multiple years are selected they are passed comma delimited. Utilizing the where in statement in our sql the comma delimited selections are appended to our sql statement to display only those years selected. Because we are looking for numeric values in our where in statement no modification to the comma delimited input is necessary. When character input is involved a replace statement can be used to put the appropriate quotation marks into your statement. Which is also provided in this example, but must be un-commented to be used

Here is an invaluable program that you can use to view and control the presentation of records in your database. We will use the Recordset object and the MaxRecords property via ADO, to set the number of records to return to the recordset and therefore to your screen. This is like a table in memory, holding records which are subdivided into individual fields.
