A content managed, link management script / application, written in asp.net vb and made to works with Microsoft SQL Server.

This script / application not only categorises your links, but it also counts the links in each category and shows you the total in brackets after the category name. If a category has no links in it, then it's not shown.

You have full control over your links via your internet browser, no more html editing and ftp uploading to make simple changes.

Minimal programming knowledge is required to install this script / application, and you can easily incorporate it into your existing site design. A aspx file is included which will setup your SQL database for you, all you need to do is enter the details of your sql server and the script does the rest.

Installing Flesk.Catalog to your .Net website is easy: just copy Flesk.Catalog component to your Bin directory, copy file catalog.ascx to your website's root directory, and add a configuration setting line to your web.config file. Create templateTagTranslator.xml and add references to your HTML template files, as stated in the Flesk.Catalog's documentation.

The templateTagTranslator is a XML file that lets developers format their template?s tag value. A template tag is nothing else than a place holder to be replaced by a value in the template's HTML, which might need to be formated.
Tag value formats can be set as a Currency, a DateTime value, a String, an Image or as an Identifier, or even a PlaceHolder for nested templates.
In common templating engines, all tag values are treated as Strings, but with Flesk.Catalog and Flesk.Templates, there is now the possibility to format values as needed.

Site Map Builder helps you generate Google SiteMap XML (Google SiteMaps ) which you can place into your root directory for Google to index your web site. The sitemap XML follows a certain syntax that Site Map Builder will generate for you. Just copy and save the resulting code as sitemap.xml.gz and upload into your root, then register your sitemap at http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/.
How to create the Google Sitemap XML for your Site?:

1. Add this image to your site homepage with a link to sitemapbuilder.net

2. Please provide us the page you want to extract the urls from, or a list of urls you want to use to create the Site Map.

Each URL must be in a separate line. Remember that all the urls must be of the form http://www.yoursite.com

You must fully specify URLs because Google tries to crawl the URLs exactly as you provide them.

This application is a heirarchical (Yahoo-style) directory of hyperlinks. Links can be added/deleted/modified after entering a password for authentication. Supports an unlimited number of categories and categories within categories. Intended for personal use (keep it under 1,000 hyperlinks) since the data is stored in an XML file.
